Reasons for starting capacitor burnout

Single-phase motors with slightly larger power are generally equipped with two capacitors, namely, starting appliances and running capacitors. Before 70 years, single-phase motors were mostly started by a capacitor. After the motor is started, the capacitor is thrown off by the centrifugal switch, and only the main winding works at this time. The secondary winding is idle.
In order to increase the efficiency of single-phase motors, double-capacitor single-phase motors appeared after 70 years.
What is the reason why the starting capacitor of single-phase motor burns out? Then I will only talk about the reason why the starting capacitor is burned out.
Generally, the starting capacitor is not easy to burn out because its working time is very short. It is only thrown off by the centrifugal switch at the moment of starting, so there is no current through the starting capacitor and it is not easy to burn out. Not easy to burn does not mean that it will not be burned all the time.
What causes the start capacitor to burn out?
(I) the capacitor withstand voltage value is low or poor quality, a capacitor with a withstand voltage of 500V should be selected.
When the (II) centrifugal switch is turned off, arc is often generated. It is very likely that the switch cannot be turned off after the motor is started. The capacitor always has current flowing through it. It is easy to burn out the secondary winding of the motor and the starting capacitor within a period of time.
(III) the selected capacitor capacity is too small, the starting current is greater than the allowable value of the capacitor.
(4) The motor sweep bore or bearing is damaged. It is difficult for the motor to start the centrifugal switch to reach the disconnected speed within a period of time, and the starting power is easy to burn out.
The above is my personal opinion on why the starting capacitor is burned out.
